Mainland responds to U.S. media, think tank concerns about Lai Ching-te #CGTN

The U.S. news magazine Time recently published articles expressing the view that the Lai Ching-te authorities in the Taiwan region are making the island a dangerous place and that they should be urged to ensure there will be no further escalation of tensions over the Taiwan Strait. U.S. think tank Rand had the same view in a report this month. The Chinese mainland’s Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has responded to a question about these concerns.
