LIVE: NASA launches mission to study space weather
NASA launches a trio of spacecraft in a mission to study space weather and charged particles that stream from the sun and extend to the edge of our solar system. The centerpiece of the mission is a horseshoe crab-shaped probe named IMAP, short for Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe, which for several years will gather data on how this protective solar bubble called the heliosphere interacts with Earth and outer space beyond our solar system.
