LIVE: Man found guilty of murdering Bethesda woman in 2010 | FOX 5 DC
A jury has found defendant Jorge Rueda Landeros, 55, of Juarez, Mexico, guilty of second-degree murder for the 2010 death of 52-year-old Sue Ann Marcum.
On October 25, 2010, Sue Ann Marcum was found dead in her home in the 6200 block of Massachusetts Avenue in Bethesda. The Medical Examiner found her cause of death to be blunt force trauma and asphyxiation. A Montgomery County Police investigation determined that Rueda Landeros had been Marcum’s Spanish and Yoga teacher. The two developed a personal and financial relationship. They made investments using Marcum’s funds and over the course of approximately two years Marcum lost $312,000 while Rueda Landeros gained a total of $252,000 from her.
