Libya has declared three days of national mourning after the death of army chief of staff Mohammed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad and four senior military officials in a plane crash near Ankara. The private jet crashed shortly after taking off from an airport near the Turkish capital, killing everyone on board, including three crew members. Turkish officials said initial investigations rule out sabotage and point to a technical failure. Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah confirmed the deaths, calling it a great national loss.
