Lake Chilwa refills, but climate still grips Malawi’s fishermen
When Malawi’s Lake Chilwa dried up more than two years ago people walked across its bed to Chisi Island, normally reachable only by boat, and fishing communities lost their main source of income. When rains returned this season, fishermen said their catches remained low.
