Khamenei Strikes Back Hard: Iran Backs Missile Program Despite June 12-Day Israel & US Attacks
Iran has begun rebuilding missile-production facilities that were targeted by Israel during the 12-day war in June, according to an Associated Press analysis of new satellite imagery published on September 24. While reconstruction is visible, analysts note a key gap: Iran still lacks large “planetary mixers” machines essential for producing solid-fuel propellants. Experts believe Tehran may seek to purchase the equipment, as well as fuel ingredients, from China. The push comes as Iran braces for renewed conflict with Israel, viewing its missile arsenal as one of the few effective deterrents after its air defenses were severely weakened. The timing is also sensitive as the UK, France, and Germany triggered the UN “snapback” mechanism in August to restore sanctions, with penalties looming over Iran’s missile program. Despite this, Iran appears determined to push forward, with backing from Russia and China undermining Western pressure.
