Members of the group NewJeans, who had been embroiled in a contract dispute with their agency, have all announced their return.

It appears the agency’s sweeping victory in the lawsuit influenced their decision.

Attention is now focused on when NewJeans will return as a complete group and whether their full-team comeback will succeed.

Reporter Lim Jae-sung has more.

[“I raised concerns as a whistleblower, and the response I received was an audit.”]

[“We would like to notify you that (our exclusive contract) will be terminated as of midnight on the 29th.”]

And now, NewJeans has returned—one year after issuing their contract termination notices.

Following Hyein and Haerin, Minji, Danielle, and Hanni also surprised fans by announcing their return to the agency in staggered succession.

They also released brief statements saying they would come back with sincere music and performances.

Their decision appears to have been influenced by the court’s first ruling, in which the agency won decisively.

However, the agency’s reaction to the members’ return announcements has been noticeably mixed.

Unlike the clear confirmation of Haerin and Hyein’s return, the agency said it was still verifying the announcements from the other three members.

The three explained that because they received no response from ADOR, they decided to release separate statements.

Sensing the direction of public sentiment, former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin also expressed support for a five-member full-team comeback.

Attention is now shifting to the timing of NewJeans’ comeback.

ADOR has already completed preparations for activities such as an album release, but the format of promotions — whether solo or unit — may change.
