Receiving their exam tickets along with supportive chocolates makes it feel even more real.

As students confirm the location of their exam rooms one last time, the teacher offers heartfelt advice.

[Lee Kwang-hoon/Teacher at Seoul Choongang High School: “Everyone has worked hard until now, and I hope you take the exam as diligently as you prepared, and don’t give up until the end.”]

This year’s exam will see over 554,000 students taking part at more than 1,300 test centers nationwide.

The number of third-year high school students born in the ‘golden pig year’ has increased by over 30,000 compared to last year due to a high birth rate, while the number of repeat test-takers has slightly decreased due to the cancellation of medical school admissions increases.

With the highest number of examinees in seven years, competition for college admissions is expected to be even fiercer.

[Na Hyun-woo/3rd Year Student at Seoul Choongang High School: “I will do my best to make the most of this process for a new beginning.”]

[Lee Jong-han/3rd Year Student at Hyowon High School in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province: “I am quite nervous, but I want to do my best just like I have until now.”]

Examinees must enter the exam room by 8:10 AM tomorrow.

They need to bring their exam ticket along with a photo ID, and mobile IDs are not allowed.

All electronic devices, including mobile phones and smartwatches, are prohibited, and only analog watches with hour and minute hands are allowed.

The working hours for public offices and businesses will be delayed until after 10 AM, and banks and the stock market will open one hour later.
