Today (Nov. 13), the 2026 academic year college entrance exam was held.

The test-takers, who may have been more nervous than ever, poured all their preparations into the exam amidst the enthusiastic support of their families and juniors.

Our reporter Choo Jae-hoon visited the tense exam hall.

In the early morning before dawn.

Test-takers arrive at the exam hall, breathing in the relatively chilly air.

[“Let me see your admission ticket for a moment.”]

Although they are nervous, they are determined to do well today, which they have been waiting for.

[Jeon Geon-ho, Kim Seong-min, Jeong Tae-soo/Test-takers: “We have to pour out everything we’ve studied for 12 years in an instant. I’m a little, very nervous….”]

This year, juniors also came out to support their seniors.

[“Let’s go for the exam! Good luck on the exam!”]

Parents encourage their test-taking children until the very end.

[“Fighting. (Don’t be nervous, Mom.) Okay, I won’t be nervous. Stay calm.”]

After sending off her daughter, she still lingers for a while.

Soon, the entrance closing time approaches.

They cannot let go of their tension until the very end.

[“Hurry and go in. (Thank you.)”]

[Jo Yoon-kyung/Friend of a test-taker: “I was lost, and a van suddenly came out asking if I was going to Yeongdeungpo High School, covering a distance that takes 20 minutes on foot in just 2-3 minutes very quickly….”]

The door closes, and there are 8 hours until the exam ends.

Applause erupts for the test-takers who finish the exam, and parents rush to find their children.

[“Ah, Mom. (Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go.)”]

They wished for the luck and happiness of their children who will soon become adults.

[Kim Sun-young/Mother of a test-taker: “From the moment she was in my womb, I was so grateful, and she made me happy. No matter what the grades are, I just hope she is happy. That’s my true wish.”]

It was a day when everyone united in support of the test-takers.
