Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed wide receiver Jordan Addison was benched for the first quarter of Sunday’s 21-17 win against the Cleveland Browns after missing a team walk-through.

Following the game, star receiver Justin Jefferson said he “had words” with the young player, stressing the importance of accountability for a valuable team member.

Despite the benching, Addison returned to the field and ultimately delivered the game-winning play as he caught a touchdown pass with 25 seconds remaining to secure the Vikings’ victory.
