J&K Rajya Sabha Polls LIVE: BJP Fields Three Candidates, Congress ‘Unhappy’ but Opts Out”! News18
The BJP on Sunday (October 12, 2025) announced three candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the Congress decided against fielding any candidate for a “less safe” seat and accused the coalition partner of betrayal.
“The names were decided by the Parliamentary Board of the party. Today, all 27 MLAs held a meeting to strategise and plan the upcoming elections,” senior BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma said.
