Israel Intercepts Gaza Flotilla LIVE | Protests Rock Berlin, Barcelona, Rome As Netanyahu Faces Fire
Protests erupted across Europe and beyond on October 1, 2025, as activists, students, and supporters of Palestine gathered in major cities including Berlin, Barcelona, Rome, Brussels, Istanbul, and Paris. Hundreds of thousands demonstrated against the Gaza blockade, demanding an end to the war and calling for the release of detained activists. In Berlin, over 100,000 protesters marched near central squares and transport hubs, while Istanbul saw crowds rallying outside the Israeli consulate.
Earlier, Israeli Navy intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla, a convoy of over 40 vessels carrying around 500 humanitarian activists, including Greta Thunberg, attempting to deliver aid to Gaza. The flotilla was stopped about 70 nautical miles off Gaza’s coast, with several ships boarded and activists detained and transported to Ashdod port for deportation. Israel stated that the flotilla violated a lawful blockade, while organizers insisted the mission was peaceful and accused Israel of committing a war crime.
