Hamas has agreed to parts of the 20-point Gaza peace plan laid out earlier by President Trump, saying that it was ready to release remaining Israeli hostages as long as the “field conditions for exchange are met.” Following the statement, the US President has called on Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza”, which, however, has been ignored.
Delegations from Israel and Hamas are meeting in Sharm El Sheikh to discuss a possible Gaza ceasefire. Ahead of the crucial meeting, President Trump warned mediators to “move fast.”
Will these talks finally result in a ceasefire and bring two years of Israel’s assault on Gaza to an end?
