Israel Demands Progress On Return Of Dead Hostages But Trump Pressure Binds IDF’s Hands?
Tensions flared just a day after the Trump-brokered Gaza peace deal was hailed as a breakthrough, as Israel accused Hamas of failing to uphold key commitments. The controversy erupted when Hamas handed over only four caskets of slain Israeli hostages on October 13, remaining silent about 24 others. Israeli media reported that the bodies were sent for identification in Tel Aviv, while officials claimed Hamas may still be holding back more bodies. The group, however, said it needed more time to locate burial sites. Israel has reportedly issued an October 14 deadline for Hamas to return all remains, warning of consequences.
