ईरान युद्ध में F-15E पहले दिन से ही अटैकिंग जेट की भूमिका में है… करीब 100 मिलियन डॉलर का ये जेट 1980 के दशक के अंत में..सर्विस में आया..और आज भी यह दुनिया के सबसे सक्षम स्ट्राइक विमानों में से एक है..जिसका उपयोग अमेरिका, इज़राइल, सऊदी अरब, दक्षिण कोरिया और सिंगापुर करते हैं।

The American F-15E fighter jet shot down by Iran was a “Strike Eagle” aircraft assigned to the 494th Fighter Squadron. Capable of carrying 23,000 pounds of bombs at a speed of 1,875 miles per hour, the F-15E is a two-seat, multirole fighter jet featuring a pilot in the front seat and a Weapon Systems Officer in the rear seat.
In the conflict with Iran, the F-15E has played the role of an attack jet since day one. Valued at approximately $100 million, this jet entered service in the late 1980s and remains one of the world’s most capable strike aircraft today, currently operated by the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Singapore.
