यूपी में चल रहे SIR के दौरान करीब 15 हज़ार साधु संतों ने फॉर्म में वाले कॉलम में अपने गुरु या हिंदू देवताओं के नाम लिखे हैं… माता के नाम के आगे मां जानकी यानी माता सीता का नाम का उल्लेख किया है…संत कहते हैं कि जब वह सब कुछ अपना छोड़ चुके हैं तो अब उनकी मां मां जानकी ही है जो कि सारे संसार की मां है..संतों द्वारा इस तरह से फार्म भरने को लेकर अब चैलेंज ये है कि इनका नाम वोटर लिस्ट में कैसे वेरिफाई होगा..इंडिया टीवी संवाददाता ने ऐसे ही संतों से बात की जिन्होंने अपने फॉर्म में माता-पिता की जगह देवी देवताओं के नाम लिखे हैं।

During the ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR) in Uttar Pradesh, approximately 15,000 sadhus and saints have written the names of their gurus or Hindu deities in the relevant columns of the form… They have mentioned Mata Janaki (Mother Sita) as their mother… The saints say that since they have renounced everything, their mother is now Mata Janaki, who is the mother of the entire world. The challenge now is how to verify the names of these saints in the voter list, given how they have filled out the forms. An India TV correspondent spoke to some of these saints who have written the names of deities in place of their parents’ names on the forms.
