पाकिस्तान और सऊदी अरब के बीच NATO की तरह एक बड़ा रक्षा समझौता हुआ है. मतलब कि सऊदी अरब या पाकिस्तान में किसी एक देश पर हमला दोनों के खिलाफ हमला माना जाएगा. यह समझौता पाकिस्तान और भारत के बीच मई में हुए सैन्य संघर्ष के चार महीने बाद हुआ. समझौते की शर्तों के अनुसार, अगर भारत पाकिस्तान पर हमला करता है, तो सऊदी अरब युद्ध में शामिल हो जाएगा. हालांकि, सऊदी ने इसी किसी देश के खिलाफ नहीं बताया है. इस समझौते ने पाकिस्तान को सिर्फ सऊदी अरब की ‘किराये की सेना’ के रूप में पुष्ट किया है.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a major NATO-like defense agreement. This means that an attack on either Saudi Arabia or Pakistan will be considered an attack against both. This agreement came four months after the military conflict between Pakistan and India in May. According to the terms of the agreement, if India attacks Pakistan, Saudi Arabia will join the war. However, Saudi Arabia has not specifically targeted any country. This agreement merely confirms Pakistan as a “mercenary force” of Saudi Arabia.
