गोरखपुर के दीपक गुप्ता की हत्या करने वाले गौतस्कर पुलिस के शिकंजे में आ गए हैं. एक गौतस्कर का हाफ एनकाउंटर हो गया. उसके तीन दूसरे साथी भी पकड़े गए. जिस गौतस्कर का हाफ एनकाउंटर हुआ है. उसका नाम है रहीम. रहीम को पुलिस ने कुशीनगर के रामकोला रोड में हुई मुठभेड़ के बाद गिरफ्तार किया. पुलिस ने मुखबिर की सूचना के आधार पर घेराबंदी की. बाइक पर भाग रहे रहीम को जब पुलिस ने रोकने की कोशिश की तो रहीम ने पुलिस पर फायरिंग कर दी. पुलिस की जवाबी फायरिंग रहीम घायल हो गया. रहीम के दोनों पैरों में गोलियां लगी. पुलिस का कहना है कि रहीम बलरामपुर-बस्ती समेत कई जिलों में गोतस्करी के आरोप में पहले भी जेल जा चुका है.

Acting on a tip-off, police surrounded the area. When they tried to stop Rahim, who was fleeing on a motorcycle, he opened fire on the police. The police returned fire, injuring Rahim. He sustained bullet wounds in both legs. Police say that Rahim has a history of cattle smuggling and has been to jail multiple times for similar crimes in districts including Balrampur and Basti.
