देशभर में आज दशहरा से धूमधाम से मनाया गया. पूरे देश में पूरे जोश के साथ रावण के पुतले फूंके गए.लेकिन कई शहरों में बारिश के कारण बड़ी मुश्किल से रावण के पुतले को जलाया जा सका. दिल्ली बारिश के कारण प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र और सोनिया गांधी समेत कई नेता रावण दहन में शामिल नहीं पाए. लेकिन लालकिला मैदान के पास माधव दास पार्क में राष्ट्रपति द्रोपदी मुर्मु ने हल्की बूंदाबादी के बीच तीर चलाकर रावण का पुतला जलाया. इस मौके पर राष्ट्रपति ने ऑपरेशन सिंदूर का ज़िक्र किया. उन्होंने कहा कि जब आतंकवाद का दानव मानवता पर प्रहार करता है. तो उसका दमन करना अनिवार्य हो जाता है. ऑपरेशन सिंदूर इसी बात का प्रतीक है.

However, at Madhav Das Park near the Red Fort, President Droupadi Murmu, amidst light drizzle, symbolically burnt the effigy of Ravana by firing an arrow. On this occasion, the President mentioned Operation Sindoor. She said that when the demon of terrorism attacks humanity, its eradication becomes imperative. Operation Sindoor is a symbol of that very principle.
