Inclusion in action: A Global South voice
As China convenes its annual Two Sessions at a time of growing global turbulence – conflicts intensifying in the Middle East and geopolitical tensions on the rise – questions about global governance, cooperation and peace are once again in focus. But how can we build those much-needed bridges in an increasingly fragmented world? CGTN presents Aneka Rebecca Rajbhandari, the first Nepali national to earn a fully Chinese-taught degree at Peking University. Being the first to do something is like crossing a bridge that wasn’t there before you walked it, she says.
Reflecting on her own journey and inspired by centuries of shared history between Nepal and China, she explores how understanding begins with knowledge and knowledge begins with curiosity. Her message? Choose curiosity over insulation, set out and immerse yourself in unfamiliar daily rhythms, and in doing so, include others as you are included by others. It is inclusion in action, the kind of multilateralism the Global Governance Initiative was built for. Watch inclusion take shape. #2026twosessions #chinaagenda2026
