Humayun Kabir—once a close aide of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and a heavyweight leader from Murshidabad—has announced the formation of a new party: the ‘Aam Janata Unnayan Party’ (AJUP). Humayun Kabir is contesting the elections in alliance with Asaduddin Owaisi’s party, the AIMIM. Humayun Kabir spoke exclusively to India TV today.
