During the 2025 Financial Street Forum, Hubertus Vaeth, managing director of Frankfurt Main Finance, told CGTN that Germany and China share much common ground in green and transition finance. He emphasized that a unified taxonomy or a common language and understanding of what counts as “green” is essential to guide financing and transformation. With a China-Germany Green Finance Conference set to convene soon, Vaeth highlighted opportunities for deeper cooperation through emissions trading systems, including carbon credit trading and carbon trading for differences.
