Hindustan Times Russian Spy Ship Fires Lasers To Blind RAF Pilots, John Healey Accepts Big Humiliation On Camera

UK Defence Secretary John Healy confirmed that the Russian research vessel Yantar allegedly fired beams of light at RAF P-8 Poseidon surveillance pilots, as the aircraft monitored the ship near Scottish waters. The vessel, suspected to be part of Moscow’s “shadow fleet”, is currently being tracked by a Royal Navy frigate and is believed to be conducting intelligence operations close to the UK.

This marks the ship’s second entry into British waters, raising security and espionage concerns among defence officials. Authorities say Yantar may be using advanced sensors to spy on critical undersea infrastructure.
