Hindustan Times Palestine PM Lashes Out At Israel After EU Meeting; ‘Israel Withholding Our Money, Needs To…’

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa accused Israel of causing the Palestinian Authority’s financial crisis, claiming it has withheld nearly $1.9 billion in tax revenues since 2019. Speaking in Brussels alongside EU Commissioner Dubravka Suica, Mustafa said the delays are hurting public services, including salaries and essential utilities.

He stressed that Israel should contribute significantly to repairing Gaza, emphasizing that reconstruction must be Palestinian-led. The European Union pledged €1.6 billion over three years to support rebuilding efforts in Gaza and the West Bank, including €620 million in budget support and €576 million for reconstruction projects.
