Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro issued a sharp warning to the United States, claiming that any military action against Venezuela would be the “gravest mistake” of President Donald Trump’s life and one that could permanently damage his leadership and legacy.

Speaking on his weekly TV programme in Caracas, Maduro alleged that certain factions in Washington are pushing Trump toward a military confrontation, insisting that such an escalation would be catastrophic for the U.S. president.
