Hindustan Times Japanese Protesters Rally Against Prime Minister’s Controversial and Wrongful Remarks on Taiwan
Hundreds of people gathered outside the official residence of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo to protest her recent remarks concerning the status of Taiwan. The protesters condemned what they called “wrongful” statements that implied a Chinese attack on Taiwan could become a ‘survival-threatening’ situation for Japan — a stance that, they argued, risks steering Japan toward militarism and war. Many held placards urging a retraction of the comments, an apology, and a recommitment to peace.
