A report in The Times says Iran-linked operatives appear to be using Telegram to recruit people in the UK for surveillance, espionage, and potentially violent tasks, with some basic assignments allegedly starting at £500 and more complex jobs paying thousands through cryptocurrency. The report says the ads appear in English and Hebrew, trigger chatbot-style screening messages, and ask users about their location, motivation, and access before connecting them to a handler.
