Hindustan Times Has Trinidad Quietly Opened The Gates For US’ Move On Maduro? Venezuela’s Padrino Drops Bombshell

Venezuelan Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino has denounced recent US military exercises in Trinidad and Tobago, calling them an ‘aggression’ and an attempt to intimidate Venezuela. Speaking in Caracas during a FANB ceremony, Padrino criticised Trinidad and Tobago for “lending its territory” for operations involving US warships and aircraft. He claimed the drills threaten not only Venezuela but the entire South American and Caribbean region. The minister insisted that the Venezuelan government will continue building an independent and sovereign nation despite U.S. pressure. The exercises, held from November 16–21, were officially aimed at combating organised crime and drug trafficking in the Caribbean.
