Richard Kahn, the longtime accountant and estate co-executor for Jeffrey Epstein, testified for nearly seven hours behind closed doors before investigators on Capitol Hill as part of a probe by the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability.

Lawmakers questioned Kahn about how Epstein made his fortune, how the money was spent, and whether any of the funds were tied to illegal activity.

During the deposition, Kahn said his relationship with Epstein was “strictly professional” and claimed he was unaware of the crimes Epstein committed against women and girls.

The committee has been reviewing Epstein’s financial records for months, including subpoenas to banks and consultations with the U.S. Treasury Department, as part of its broader investigation into the disgraced financier’s wealth and network.
