Government please with full movement progress so far
The Government minister overseeing affairs at the Immigration Department is satisfied with the progress of full free movement in Barbados so far.
Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams, is also optimistic about the potential contribution of migration to national development.
He was speaking during a press conference today at the Ministry’s conference room, where he was presented with the Migration Governance Indicator and the Border Migration Management Assessment from the International Organisation for Migration.
The Chief of Mission for the International Organisation for Migration, Barbados and the Caribbean, Patrice Quesada, hopes the relevant authorities use the report to see how policies can impact migration and, by extension, strengthen the country’s migration framework.
