UK PM Starmer hails rabbi as “hero” after attack outside synagogue
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer praised the rabbi and others who barricaded the doors as ”heroes’, in the wake of the synagogue attack in Manchester, England, on Thursday.
Jihad al-Shamie, a 35-year-old British man of Syrian descent, drove a car into pedestrians and stabbed several people, killing two men in the attack. Global’s Vincent McAviney has new details about the victims and the attacker, as authorities plead for unity.
