Trump, Zelenskyy stand with European leaders for ‘family photo’ in Washington
U.S. President Donald Trump appeared for a family photo alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other European leaders as the group met to discuss an end to the Ukraine-Russia war.
Zelenskyy is joined by European leaders in Washington, D.C. – including U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni – following Trump’s meeting last week in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump said Monday he doesn’t need to see a ceasefire in Ukraine as he seeks a negotiated end to Russia’s war. Zelenskyy, meanwhile, has signalled he is “ready” to meet with Putin.
