RFK Jr. faces Senate questions on CDC chaos, vaccine changes | LIVE
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will testify before the Senate Finance Committee about the administration’s healthcare agenda on Thursday as turmoil within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues.
The turmoil, which saw the head of the CDC replaced and four top healthcare experts quit, triggered rare bipartisan alarm as Kennedy tried to advance anti-vaccine policies that are contradicted by decades of scientific research.
RFK Jr. announced in a statement earlier this month that 22 projects, totalling $500 million, to develop vaccines using mRNA technology will be halted.
