Pakistan-Afghanistan clashes: Taliban says over 12 civilians killed, several crossings remain closed
More than 12 civilians were killed in Afghanistan as fighting broke out with Pakistan on Wednesday, the Taliban said.
 
“Most of the wounded are children and 90 per cent of the casualties are civilians, including women and children,” Abdullah Jan, the Head of Spin Boldak Hospital, stated.
 
Meanwhile, Pakistani officials blamed the Taliban for the clashes and said four civilians were wounded on their side of the border.
 
Pakistan has closed several border crossings along the 2,600-kilometre frontier with Afghanistan following the rising tensions, halting trade between the neighbours and leaving scores of goods trucks stranded on both sides.
