Israel has responded after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney pledged to honour predecessor Justin Trudeau’s commitment to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on war crimes charges related to the conflict in Gaza, if he were to visit Canada. Israeli government spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian Tuesday said Carney should “reconsider,” calling his recent decision to recognize a Palestinian state a “prize for terrorism” which has “only poured fuel on an antisemitic fire in Canada.” #Israel #Canada #Geopolitics
