“I felt the Earth shake”: Fans react to Toronto Blue Jays division winning game
The Toronto Blue Jays and their fans celebrated a huge 13-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday that clinched the team’s first American League East division title in 10 years — and on Monday Torontonians were still buzzing about the big win.
“I felt the Earth shake,” said Jay, outside the Rogers Centre on Monday. “You had to be there, but like you could feel the energy in the city,” he added.
“I did not expect them to challenge for the division, I didn’t expect them to break 90 wins, I didn’t expect a lot of these blue collar, secondary players to step up and contribute the way that they have,” said Walk Off Podcast host Scott Belford.
