Greta Thunberg’s Gaza flotilla allegedly hit by drone, crew speaks out
Members of the Global Sumud Flotilla have spoken out after saying their Gaza-bound aid boat was struck by a drone overnight.
All six passengers and crew aboard the vessel, including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, survived the alleged attack and were able to extinguish a fire that broke out on the ‘Family Boat.’
“They have bombed a boat, once again, with civilians on it,” flotilla member Yasemin Acar said. “This is an attack against Gaza, because they don’t’ want us there,” she added.
Global Sumud Flotilla is an international initiative involving over 40 countries seeking to break Israel’s naval blockade and deliver aid to war-torn Gaza amid their mission to destroy the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
