Couple recounts harrowing encounter with Grizzly bear during BC hike
A couple who survived an attack by a bear while on a hike in British Columbia is speaking up about the terrifying ordeal.
Shauna and Chris Terai were hiking in the McGregor Mountains northeast of Prince George when they came face-to-face with a Grizzly bear and her cubs.
Amid the scuffle, the sow picked Shauna up before dropping her again, which left her with just enough time to hit the SOS button on her satellite communication device. Chris then jumped into action to distract the bear.
