Colombia bomb attack near military base kills 5, injures several
At least five people were killed and several were injured on Thursday after a bomb attack near a Colombian Air Force base in Cali, Colombia, authorities said.
 
“What happened in Cali is an act that spreads panic among the civilian population, killing them systematically, because it is the second time this has happened during my administration,” said Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro.
 
Petro blamed the attack on dissident factions of the former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) guerrilla group that rejected a 2016 peace deal to end a long-running internal conflict that has left more than 450,000 people dead.
