1.8-million-year-old human jawbone discovered in Georgia
Archaeologists in Georgia have unearthed a 1.8-million-year-old human jawbone, the oldest remains yet discovered outside Africa.

The fossil was found at the Orozmani site, southwest of Tbilisi, a dig rich with prehistoric evidence.

Researchers say the jawbone, along with animal fossils and stone tools, sheds light on how Homo erectus lived.

The discovery could provide crucial clues about early human migration and adaptation beyond Africa.
