US military strikes another alleged drug vessel, kills 1 in Eastern Pacific

The U.S. military confirmed it conducted yet another strike against an alleged drug boat in the Eastern Pacific on Monday.

The low-profile vessel was being operated by “Designated Terrorist Organizations” and travelling along “known narco-trafficking routes,” supposedly engaging in drug trafficking operations, according to the U.S. Southern Command.

Video of the moment, shows lethal kinetic strikes landing near the boat before striking it directly, sending it bursting into flames and killing one person.

Since September, 105 people have been killed in 29 similar attacks. U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday, “every one of the boats that we knocked out saved 25,000 lives,” claiming that drugs coming into the U.S. border are down 96.2 per cent.
