Global NewsTumbler Ridge family receives death threats after daughter killed in tragedy

On Friday, a funeral for one of the youngest victims of the Tumbler Ridge mass shooting was cancelled due to threats circulating online.

Kylie Smith’s parents said they have been moved to a safe location and are, from what they’ve heard, the third family of the deceased to be harassed or threatened since the tragedy took place.

The RCMP says it is working with the mayor of Tumbler Ridge and community leaders to ensure a safety plan is in place for both the community and specific individuals who may have been targeted.
