Global News”Russia pretends it wants peace,” say Kyiv residents after massive attack on Ukraine

Russia attacked Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine with hundreds of missiles and drones on Saturday, ahead of what President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said would be a crucial meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump to work out a deal to end nearly four years of war.

Authorities said one person was killed by the attack in the Kyiv region, while at least 28 people were wounded in the capital itself, including two children.

Residents in Kyiv were irate after the strike, saying that the attacks show Moscow had no intention of seeking peace.

“They simply pretend they want peace, but in reality, we all know that they do not want it,” said a resident of a building that was hit in the attack.
