Global NewsPoilievre grilled over MP’s accusation that Conservative Party is run like “frat house”
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre spoke in Calgary, Alta., on Wednesday where he faced myriad of questions about former Conservative-turned-Liberal Chris d’Entremont’s comments that the party felt more like “a frat house rather than a serious political party.”
“First of all, CBC has had to correct the falsehoods that they put into that story. So I encourage you to tell Canadians about the falsehoods you published and explain why you did that,” the conservative leader said.
Poilievre added that before he crossed the floor, d’Entremont was outspoken in criticizing Prime Minister Mark Carney’s 2025 budget and the cost of living in Canada.
D’Entremont wasn’t the only Conservative MP who’s recently left the caucus, as Alberta MP Matt Jeneroux announced an early retirement, resigning from his position to represent the riding of Edmonton Riverbend.
