It’s been more than 7 months since two young Nova Scotia siblings disappeared without a trace. In this lookback, various Global reporters provide their experiences covering the tragic story of Lily and Jack Sullivan’s sudden disappearance.

Global’s Heidi Petracek describes the challenges for investigators and journalists alike when a story such as this contains little answers, “I think if you have a vacuum of information, unfortunately the internet will fill it,” she said.

To this day neither child has been located.
