Global NewsGreen Party leader “working to make sure” a snap election doesn’t happen

We get budget reaction from Conservative House Leader Andrew Scheer and Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.
 
“If this budget ends up passing, then everything in Canada will be exactly like Mark Carney wants it,” Scheer said and added that “it’s a very bleak budget if you actually look at the actual numbers.”
 
Meanwhile, May stressed she was doing her best to avoid a federal election. 
 
“I really hope that we don’t go into an election soon and I’m working to make sure that doesn’t happen,” she said.
 
When it comes down to the final budget vote, it remains to be seen where they plan to direct their support and whether a snap election is on the horizon.
