Global NewsGhost’s Tobias Forge talks Skeletá, long-term goals for band, reveals if a new EP is coming

On the tail end of Swedish metal band Ghost’s widely-celebrated, aptly-titled Skeletour world tour, founder and songwriting mastermind Tobias Forge sat down with Global’s Adam Wallis to chat about the latest album, Skeletá, performing as his latest frontman persona – Papa V Perpetua – and the origins of the group’s ever-expanding and beloved lore.

Although Ghost is a band that has functioned in strict cycles since debuting in 2010 with consistent album releases, tours and subsequent Eps, Forge reveals that, for once, there aren’t any plans for the band’s immediate future.

Currently playing in the United States, Ghost is equipped with their biggest stage show to date and will return to Canada for three shows across Quebec, Toronto and Vancouver, starting at the end of January, before the tour’s inevitable conclusion in late February.
