From Peacemaker To Deal Breaker? Trump Issues Ultimatum To Hamas; ‘Return Hostage Bodies Or…’
President Trump told CNN that the U.S. would consider supporting Israel if Prime Minister Netanyahu decides to resume military action in Gaza, warning that “Israel will return to those streets as soon as I say the word” if Hamas violates the Trump-brokered ceasefire deal. Trump emphasized that the release of the remaining 20 hostages was “paramount” and noted reports of violent clashes between Hamas and rival groups in Gaza, saying, “Hamas is going in and clearing out the gangs… It could be gangs plus.” He asserted that Israel remains ready to “knock the crap out of them”—referring to Hamas—should peace terms be broken, and boasted, “Fifty-nine countries are part of this. We’ve never seen anything like this.”
