Washington and Kyiv said any deal to end the war must fully protect Ukraine’s sovereignty after what they called “constructive” talks with US, Ukrainian and European officials in Geneva. Following criticism of an initial US proposal seen as favouring Russia, negotiators produced an updated peace framework. President Donald Trump had given Ukraine until November 27 to approve his plan to end the nearly four-year conflict. FRANCE 24’s Douglas Herbert has the analysis.
