A new majority-American-owned joint-venture is taking over the company’s US business, just in time to avoid a ban targeting the app. President Donald Trump praised the deal in a Truth Social post, thanking Chinese leader Xi Jinping specifically “for working with us and, ultimately, approving the Deal.”
